Özet |
Studies are made consistently for discovery of new antimicrobial drugs used to treat bacterial diseases. In the present study effects of cysteamine, putrescine and cysteamine-putrescine combinations were investigated on some microorganisms. Standart strains of Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were used in this study. Modified Broth Dilution Method was utilized to detect minimal inhibition concentration (MIC). Mueller- Hinton Broth (Becton Dickinson, 211443) was used as medium for reproduction and dilution. 0.5 μg/ml concentration of cysteamine inhibited growth of B. subtilis, 16 μg/ml concentration of cysteamine inhibited growth of P. aeruginosa but there was no effect on other microorganisms. There was no effect on the microorganisms tested in dilution of putrescine. It is observed that cysteamine -putrescine mixture (1:1) has no effect on growth of E. coli though 16 μg/ml concentration of the mixture inhibit the growth of B. subtilis, P. multocida, Ps. aeruginosa and S. aureus. |
