Özet |
The material of the study consisted of 26 cattle, 16 experimental and 10 control animals aged between 2,5-12 months from Kars city and surrounding villages, diagnosed as dermatophytosis following clinical examination and microbiology. Clinical status of cases were scored on localization, size and number of lesions and condition of the cases and were as follows; mild (+), moderate (++) and severe (+++). During the study period, farm management practices of the animals were not changed. To attain uniformity between the experimental and control groups according to the clinical condition, the experimental group consisted of 16 cattles; 4 cattles in mild, 7 in moderate and 5 in severe group. To this group enilconazole pour-on 10% (4mg/kg) was applied to dorsal side of the sick animals for 5 times with 3 days intervals. Control group was composed of 10 cattle of which 3 cattle was in mild, 4 in moderate and 3 in severe group and treatment was not applied. In conclusion, of the 16 animals treated only 2 cases were completely recovered but 14 were not. However, fast healing period observed by coincidence in the lesions present in the medical treatment line indicates that this medicine might be evaluated for the topical treatment of the dermatophytosis lesions. |
