Özet
The fact that carbon emission is a serious problem today makes it important to effectively utilize the carbon-containing output obtained from waste utilization processes. The purpose of this study is to explore the use of pyrolysis char, which is produced in the process of obtaining fuel oil from vehicle tyres, in the construction sector together with geopolymers. In this part of the study, heat conduction, sound absorption and water absorption of the geopolymers obtained were investigated. It was observed that the heat transfer coefficient increased from 0.1859 to 0.4458 W/(m.K) and the sound absorption coefficient at 1250 Hz decreased from 0.5 to 0.04 with the addition of pyrolysis coal between 0–12 % of the amount of GGBS used in geopolymer production.
