Özet |
In this study, bilayer TiAlN/TiSiN and monolayer AlCrSiN ceramic films were grown on carbide cutting tool material by cathodic arc physical vapor coating (CAPVD) method to improve the structural/tribological properties and milling performances. The ceramic films were applied on cylindrical test samples and carbide end mills. The coated materials' structural, mechanical, and tribological properties were determined via scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction meter (XRD), tribometer, microhardness tester, and optical profilometer. DIN 40CrMnNiMo8-6-4 steel workpieces were machined by using a CNC vertical machining center to determine the actual working performance of the coated and uncoated cutting tools. The wear performance of the cutting tools after machining was determined by measuring the flank wear widths and mass losses. The hardness and adhesion results of the coated sample with … |
