Özet
We have reviewed the article titled “Correlation between renal sonographic measurements and differential renal function obtained from nuclear renography in children with unilateral hydronephrosis” with considerable interest (1). While the study contributes valuable insights into pediatric hydronephrosis, we wish to highlight several methodological concerns that might impact the interpretation and clinical applicability of the findings.Firstly, the study does not specify the modality of ultrasound image storage—whether as static images or video recordings. This lack of standardization can introduce variability, particularly if the images used for analysis are static. Static ultrasound images depend heavily on the probe's position at the time of the scan, potentially influencing the choice of renal sections visualized and measured by different radiologists (2).
