| Özet |
| Research with multiple optical laser pumping has lead to increased efficiency and shorter wavelength saturated X-ray lasing action in collisionally excited Ne-like and Ni-like ions. In particular, experiments and simulations have been undertaken to understand collisional X-ray lasers and their potential use as probing diagnostics of laser fusion plasmas. The scaling of Ni-like lasers with atomic number and the suitability of these lasers for probing of plasmas is studied. Theoretical and experimental studies of how pre-pulses can modify the plasma conditions in the X-ray laser media are investigated. The optimum double~ 75 ps pulse pumping configurations for the Ne-like Ge at 196 Å and Ni-like Sm at 73 Å lasers are demonstrated experimentally and by simulation. The experimental and simulation results are explained by a simple model which predicts the optimum ratio of intensity between the pre-pulse and the … |
