| During the period of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-1920), the idea of Turan received a new impetus. It is regrettable that in the history of Azerbaijani literature the ideas of Turanism and Azerbaijanism were often studied as opposing schools. A number of researchers could not get rid of the influence of the Soviet system of thinking and perceived these ideologies as opposing literary movements. Although in the works created under the influence of the ideas of Turanism, Azerbaijan and its independence are clearly considered as one of the central elements of Turan. |
