Özet
The effects of grazing pastures and concentrate supplementation on the liveweight gain, rumen pH, total volatile fatty acids (TVFA) and ammonium nitrogen (NH3-N) concentration of Morkaraman and Tuj lambs were determined. Dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP) and crude fibre (CF) contents of the pasture were 23.08-45.34, 17.18-6.72 and 23.78-36.45%, respectively, during the vegetation period. Grazing and supplementation had no significant effect on the liveweight and liveweight gain between the two breeds. Grazing groups gained 14.52 kg, while the supplementation groups gained 17.40 kg during the experimental period (70 days). A significant (P<0.05) difference between the total liveweight gain of the two groups was significant. While the supplementation groups had lower rumen pH than the grazing groups, there were no differences in the TVFA and NH3-N between the grazing and …
