| Slaughter and carcass traits of geese reared in Boğazköy-Kars, Turkey were studied. The results showed that the effect of sex on live weight, carcass weight, blood weight, feather weight, head weight, foot weight, heart weight, liver weight and abdominal+intestinal fat weight were statistically significant (P<0.05-0.001). Gizzard weight was not affected by sex (P>0.05). Effects of sex on blood, feather, head, foot, heart, gizzard and abdominal+intestinal fat percentage were statistically significant (P<0.05-0.01). Carcass and liver percentage were not affected by sex (P>0.05). The results were compared with the literature and some differences were defined. In addition to this, results from a similar study which was conducted in the same village showed some differences with the corresponding study.
