Özet
This study has been carried out to determine the yield of mifk and woof in Tushin sheep_ Twenty twosheep were used for milk yield in 1997 and 66 in 1995. For fleece weight 9 rams and 79 ewes were used in 1995. Theoverall means of milk yield, milk fat and laclation lenght were found as 75.24±O.36 kg. 6.65±O.01 % and 127.6±O.ISday respectively. Lactation tenght was significantly affected by year (P< 0.05). There were significant positive correlationsbetween milk yield and lactation lenght (0.55) and milk fat (0.30). The means of fleece weight, fibre diameler.medullated ratio, staple lenglh and Iwine unit were 1.94±O.07 kg, 2S.65±O.51 micron, 7.S4±1.30 %, 11.49±O.30 cmand 2.93±O.21 unit respectively. Sex significanlly aHected fleece weight and twine unit (P< 0.05, P< 0.01). The cor·relations between fleece weight and staple length (0.34) and twine unit (0.24), and belween fibre diameter and medullaledralio (0.54) were statistically significant. Tushin sheep, generally kept around Kars and Ardahan, is an Imponandsheep for this region. so thai il should be reared as a gene source.
