Determination of Adenosine Deaminase and Acid Alpha Naphthyl Acetate Esterase Enzyme Activity of Kilis Goats

| The study was conducted to determine the acid α-naphthyl acetate esterase enzymes (ANAE) in T lymphocytes and adenosine deaminase (ADA) levels in peripheral blood of kilis goat. Heparinized blood samples from 10 healthy kilis goats were evaluated in the study. Results revealed that proportion of ANAE positive lymphocytes was 66%, and ADA activity was 15.0±1.15 U/litre. It was observed that when T lymphocytes showed an ANAE positive reaction, then eosinophil granulocytes, neutrophil granulocytes and monocytes also showed ANAE positive reaction. ANAE was not observed in the platelets and B lymphocytes. The normal values of ADA and ANAE in T lymphocytes of peripheral blood of healthy kilis goats are established. |
